A Dedicated Decade
Christine Fitzsimons is celebrating a decade as one of Radio Clatterbridge's ward visitors. As the station's longest serving request collector, it's estimated she has met thousands of patients during her weekly rounds. Christine, who also co-presents with the Saturday Crew, marked the occasion on the programme with additional help from former colleagues Myfanwy James, Martin Elliott, Phil Rodgers, Alan Scott and Richard Randall. The team also presented her with a bouquet of flowers to say "thank you" for her continuing devotion. Click here to see other photographs from Christine's celebrations. Top

From Abba To Wagner
Request collectors Sue and Christine took on a new role today... to become advertising executives! The pair have been given the task of putting up new specially-created posters to promote Radio Clatterbridge. Produced by presenter Steve Lord and approved by the NHS Trust, they have now been put on display across the hospital. The posters highlight that the station plays all kinds of music, from Abba to Wagner! Top

Radio Clatterbridge presenter Dave Harvey is taking a summer break from his Sunday night programme to entertain a slightly different audience. The Music Box host is part of the team working for the six-a-side football Masters Cup 2005. He'll be entertaining crowds in between watching regional matches at venues across the country. The competition culminates in the Grand Final in Manchester in September. Top

Mark's Set To Go
One of Radio Clatterbridge's longest serving presenters has decided to take a break from broadcasting. Mark Lloyd joined the station thirteen years ago and has been pivotal in the introduction of 24 hour programming. Programme Controller Paul Johnston said, "Mark has made a valuable contribution to Radio Clatterbridge for more than a decade. Without his commitment and expertise, the station would not be producing the same high quality of programmes around the clock." Top
