Our studios sound and look fantastic, but the facilities have come at a cost. Around ten thousand pounds was spent on upgrading our main studio, and fitting out our new home. Donations from Wirral Hospital NHS Trust, Clatterbridge Hospital League of Friends and Littlewoods (coupled with successful grant applications from the National Lottery and British Gas) meant the station has some of the most state-of-the-art equipment in the industry. More recently, Vista Kitchens and HomeInstead have become sponsors of the station. We have also received generous donations from Port Sunlight Workplace Trust, Vauxhall Motors Ltd Employees Charity Fund and Wirral Scouts & Guides Christmas Charity Post. Sadly, though, it doesn't end there. The station is in the process of building a transmitter to allow Radio Clatterbridge to be heard for the first time by people anywhere on the Health Park. However, this means there will be increased running costs to keep the studios operational. There are regular running costs, like paying the phone bill. Plus there is always the need to buy new and replacement music. The station needs thousand of pounds every year just to keep running. All donations (either financial or musical) are gratefully received. Every little helps. If you think you can assist in keeping Radio Clatterbridge on air, please contact the station or send an e-mail directly. |
