The Clatterbridge Hospitals League of Friends was formed on Monday 1st February 1954.
Since then, the League has worked tirelessly to provide a link between the public and the hospitals, and to raise money for additional amenities and other services.
The League is run by a committee, which meets once a month to carry out various duties and tasks.
Many committee members and its supporters have been actively involved for many years.
Events are held regularly to enable the League to perform one of its primary functions. One of the main fundraising activities of the year is the collection at a different supermarket each month.
• April 8th - Collection at ASDA, Upton
• May 13th – An Evening with The Electric Hat Band and Friends, Bromborough Golf Club
• May 20th – Collection at Gordale Nursery
• June 3rd – Collection at ALDI, Neston
• June 14th – AGM at Post Grad Centre

The League hopes to continue to be of service to Clatterbridge Hospital for many years to come, faithfully supporting the patients and staff through its voluntary efforts. The current President is Ken Edwardson.
The Clatterbridge Hospitals League of Friends is a member of Attend (formerly the National Association of Hospital and Community Friends) and is affiliated with the Merseyside Association of Leagues of Hospitals Friends and Community Action Wirral.
Ken Arnold is the current Chairman and Jean Lewis is Treasurer.
