Oh dear. So you’re feeling a bit lost and don’t know what to do next.
We can’t help you with the bigger questions in life (Why are we here? How big is the universe? Why is belly button fluff blue?) But we can hopefully answer your questions about the stations and help you find your way around our little website.
How do I find my way around the Radio Clatterbridge website?
Our website is split into 4 main sections: On Air, News, About and Join. We've also got a Contact page and these Help pages. They’re listed in the grey box across the top of each page. You’ll then see a range of sub-headings below the logo. If you ever get stuck, clicking on the Radio Clatterbridge logo will take you back to our front page. You can search from any page of the website using the box in the top right hand corner. We also have a full site-map of pages here
How do I find what’s on air?
The top of each page also shows what’s on air at Radio Clatterbridge now, and for how long. Clicking on the details will take you to more information about the programme or presenter. For more information about other programmes today and for the rest of the week, go to the main On Air section at the top of the page.
How do I listen to Radio Clatterbridge?
Radio Clatterbridge is available only at Clatterbridge Health Park. For details about how to tune in, please visit this page. We hope to introduce a Listen Online service shortly. Keep checking back here for more information.
What do all those funny little symbols mean?
We offer a lot of features here to help you keep in touch with what’s happening at Radio Clatterbridge, and to help spread the word of the good work we do here.
This is the icon for our news feed or RSS (Really Simple Syndication). It contains the link to a web-page read by your computer. If you’ve got a newsreader, such as FeedZilla, it will keep checking back to see when we have a new story. When we do, it will tell you. To subscribe, click on the symbol and either drag the URL of the feed into your news reader or cut and paste the address into a new feed in your news reader.
There are many great pages here which you will no doubt want to tell your friends, family and colleagues about! When you see this symbol, you can automatically post the link directly to your Facebook page, Tweet about it or +1 it on Google+ or a whole host of other social media sites.
Incidentally, if you lick on a link to an external website we will open it in a new tab (keeping the Radio Clatterbridge website open in its original tab). All links are chosen because we believe the websites will be of interest to you. We do check them before we publish to make sure we aren’t sending you anywhere dodgy. But, because the internet is always changing, we can not accept any responsibility for the content of any external websites.
Why can’t I hear sound from the website?
We only play audio when you ask us to. On pages that include sounds, you will see an audio player. Just press the play button to hear it! You can pause it at any time by pressing the same button. If you’ve pressed play and still can’t hear anything please check your speakers are switched on and turned up.
Why can’t I see videos on the website?
Like the audio here, you are in control of playing our videos. Just press the play button to start the video. The same button will pause the video, plus you have volume controls too.
If you’ve pressed play and still can’t hear anything please check your speakers are switched on and turned up.
If you’ve pressed play and can’t see the video, please make sure you have Flash Player installed on your computer.
Why can’t I download the Application Form or Fact Pack?
You need a programme called Adobe Reader installed on your computer to download certain documents for printing. Click on the link to get it.
Why am I getting an Error Page?
We take lots of care to make this website as accurate as possible, but occasionally you may come across an old link. If you do, or you try to type in an incorrect address on this site, you will receive an error message. Don’t worry! It’s nothing to be concerned about. The error will automatically be logged and you will be taken back to the front page after a few seconds.
How do I donate money?
We’ve set up a special page where you can donate money to Radio Clatterbridge. Just click here and follow the instructions.
How do I get a request on air?
There are lots of ways to get a mention or ask for your favourite music to be heard on Radio Clatterbridge. You can ask one of our ward visitors, call or text the studio, send us a message on Facebook or Twitter or just fill in a request form on the website. To find out more, take a look at our Request page.
How do I join Radio Clatterbridge?
We are always looking for new dedicated members to join the Radio Clatterbridge team. Details of how you can apply can be found on our Join page. Please note that for insurance reasons all members must be aged 18 or over and must undergo a criminal record check.
Can I do work experience at Radio Clatterbridge?
We’re sorry but for a number of reasons we are unable to accept work placement students as a rule. The nature of the hours which our members volunteer at the station and the limitations of our insurance policy mean that it is unlikely we can accept your work experience request. However, if you think you have something to offer the station, please consider joining us.
