A Song For Clatterbridge

A Merseyside musician has explained why he decided to write a Christmas single in aid of The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Matt Baker from South Liverpool came in to Radio Clatterbridge to tell listeners on the health park all about his song I Still Believe.

Matt, who works in Bootle, wrote the song last year but has now had it remixed professionally to go on sale just in time for the festive season.

He dedicated the track to his father-in-law who was treated at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

"It struck me one Christmas when we were visiting that he was missing Christmas even though he didn't like Christmas shopping. He was looking out of the window thinking 'I would actually enjoy a bit of that now' compared to not being too clever." - Musician Matt Baker

Matt told Saturday Sequence presenter Steve Evans that he has promised to re-record the song every year with different musicians in different styles.

You can buy the single on CD here. Donations can also be made through Matt's JustGiving page.
