Station trumps Trump with new leader

Radio Clatterbridge has 'trumped' international events by installing a new leader - hours ahead of the US presidential inauguration.

Following their own democratic elections, members of the charity have chosen a new man at the station's helm.

Seven years after joining the presenting team, Steve Evans became chairman during Radio Clatterbridge's annual general meeting this evening.

It will be a big change for Steve, who has only ever known one chairman during his time volunteering for the charity.

Steve Lord has retired from the role after successfully leading the station into 24-hour broadcasts on Medium Wave.

Steve Evans, who has been a general member of the executive committee for the last few years, will also become a member of the trustees

He will continue to present a number of programmes each week whilst also liaising with the various trusts and charities which operate on the health park.

Paul Johnston and Dave Harvey remain as Programme Controller and Treasurer respectively, while Radio Clatterbridge also welcomes Mike Eveleigh and Phil Rostance who replace Steve Evans as general members.

Our thanks to Steve Lord for his hard work and commitment to the station.
