Radio Clatterbridge presenter John Roberts has had some searching questions for singer Frank Alan.

The broadcaster went to chat with the leader of The Searchers backstage after a recent show at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton.

The band have just completed a tour of New Zealand with Gerry Marsden.

They belted out a string of hits both their own and other stars from the Swinging '60s.

Next year they start their 50 years celebration tour and vowed to keep on playing.

"Frank was well aware of the work we do at Radio Clatterbridge and passed on his regards to us all." - Presenter John Roberts
