John joined Radio Clatterbridge after taking up early retirement. The rest of his spare time is now filled with working on his house and redesigning his gardens. But a warning to his neighbours, he even intends to build a shed so he has somewhere to practice the banjo! A child of the sixties, he loves the Beatles, Searchers, Motown, Soul and Elvis, of whom he does a near perfect impression of... if you close your eyes. He worked for P+O in Australia as an electrical officer on the same ship used in the film Carry on Cruising! John provided the nick name of "dream team". But if you think it's because they're the best team you could ever dream of, think again. He John says its because they all look half asleep!
