Liz Carridge

Liz Carridge One of Merseyside's up-and-coming radio talents learned the basics of her trade at Radio Clatterbridge. Reporter Liz Carridge has already been heard by thousands on the BBC, at MFM and Wirral's Buzz.

"Radio Clatterbridge has definitely helped me get where I am today. I knew from when I was about eleven that I wanted to go into journalism, but Radio Clatterbridge was my first real experience of the media world. I loved it and it gave me the confidence to go for it!"

Liz was a Radio Clatterbridge news-reader and writer during 1997 and 1998, before leaving to study Linguistics at Durham University.

"From looking at the pictures on the website of the new studios it seems the station's come a long way since I was there - snazzy studios and the latest technology! The old building could get pretty cramped at times!"

It seems everyone has fond memories of the station, and Liz is no exception. Although they get a little bizarre to say the least...

"My lasting memory of Radio Clatterbridge has to be without a doubt the laughs I had with Mark and Ben on their Saturday afternoon programme. I was always laughing until I cried! (Coy Carp... I shall say no more!)"

Liz is now working as a press officer at Salford Council.
