St John's Hospice Lottery was set up in the late 1990s after the charity failed in its bid for funds from the National Lottery.

A membership lottery, those who take part can pay as little as a pound a week to be in with a chance of winning prizes totalling three thousand pounds.

So far the lottery has helped raise well in excess of half a million pounds for the hospice.
