Patients enjoy Radio Clatterbridge

On average, more than ten thousand people stay in Clatterbridge Hospital each year for more than a day. That's to say nothing of the Outpatients.

Radio Clatterbridge is extremely proud of its dedicated team of volunteers, who give up their time to visit the patients on their individual wards.

Sometimes the opportunity to chat to a new face can make all the difference to someone stuck in bed. The station makes sure that its request collectors don't just rush around the wards, but actually spend time talking to the patients.

They try to cover all areas of the site, from Oncology to Psychiatric and the wards for the elderly to Stroke Rehab. So popular is the service that the ward visitors often come away with a backlog of requests!
