Studio 2

The desk in Studio 2

This is Radio Clatterbridge's news and production studio. It can also be used as an emergency back-up to Studio 1.

Although much smaller, it works in much the same way as the main studio and contains the equipment which Radio Clatterbridge used in its last building.

The mixing desk is a lot more complicated than its counterpart in Studio 1. It enables more experienced presenters to tweak the sound until they can hear the desired effect.

There is just one record deck in here, but because this is regularly used for production purposes there are two CD players and one MiniDisc machine.

Studio 2 from above

It takes just a flick of a switch to put Studio 2 on air. This facility is used whenever engineering work is taking place in the main studio, ensuring the listeners never miss out on a programme.

It is also possible to produce local news bulletins in this studio.
