Each year, during National Volunteers Week (1st-7th June), Wirral's top volunteers are rewarded for their thankless work.

Nominations are encouraged to try to find the borough's Volunteer of the Year. There are also six winners in each category.

The awards are sponsored by Natwest and have been running since 1996.
