The Music Lives On

The Music Lives On Radio Clatterbridge presenter Vic Charles today shared with his listeners the time he realised that the music had died. On the forty-fifth anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly, Vic played some of the singer’s earliest recordings. He related how he had been in hospital himself when he read in a newspaper that Holly had died in a plane crash. Vic, who has played in session with a number of chart bands, told listeners that the 22 year old had encouraged him to pick up a guitar and get involved in pop music.
