Rooney Returns
December 5, 2006
Wayne Rooney and fiancée Coleen McLoughlin returned to Clatterbridge yesterday, to open a new wing at Claire House children’s hospice. The star couple returned to Wirral eighteen months after they launched a fund-raising appeal for the new teenagers’ annex. Coleen’s disabled adopted sister, Rosie, is a regular visitor to the hospice. Radio Clatterbridge presenter Andy Bonner tonight broadcast an interview with Claire House’s appeals manager. Janet Croker told him, “It’s marvellous to have somebody of such a high profile. The publicity has been fantastic.”
