Walk For Heroes
September 19, 2010
Radio Clatterbridge listeners today heard how the memories of four soldiers have inspired a major fundraising event for Help For Heroes. The family of Pt Dougie Halliday organised today’s coastal walk in aid of the charity. Three of his colleagues also died when their vehicle overturned in Afghanistan. Pt Halliday’s cousin Helen Fisher spoke to presenter Graeme White from the 15-mile sponsored trek between Seacombe and Thurstaston earlier. The event was marred by bad weather but Helen told listeners how more than 200 people had taken part in the walk. Click here to add your donation.
