Fayre Weather Friends
June 10, 2012
The summer showers disappeared just in time for the Claire House Summer Fayre and Radio Clatterbridge was there to bring the fun to those stuck in hospital.
Listeners heard all about the day and the importance of raising money for the children’s hospice.
Presenter Steve Lord spoke to Jackie Wild who became a Claire House volunteer after her son Elliot attended the hospice last year.
Jackie and her family have raised £42,000 for Claire House in Elliot’s memory.
Steve also interviewed regular guest Lauren Knights.
The fundraiser was able to describe what was happening at the fayre and revealed how one lucky raffle winner will get the chance to leave Claire House in a helicopter for a flight over Wirral!
