Bank Holiday Bonanza

Radio Clatterbridge hit the road over the bank holiday weekend and managed to spread the word about the station in the process.

The charity had a presence at two major festivals in the local area.

On Saturday, hundreds of people saw the Radio Clatterbridge marquee at the Port Sunlight Summer Festival.

The event was celebrating 50 years since the final line-up of the Beatles played their first concert – at Hulme Hall.

It gave us a chance to celebrate our own links with the Fab Four.

Dave Harvey presented a two-hour special live outside broadcast from the festival. He also anchored a series of interviews from Port Sunlight throughout the day.

Other volunteers were on hand to give out our new badges and even sell a few Radio Clatterbridge pens to raise some money for the station.

On Sunday, Dave was out and about again.

Organisers and exhibitors from the Wirral Food and Drink Festival had already been into the studio to talk about the annual event at Claremont Farm.

Dave brought the fun of the fair to listeners stuck in the health park on the opening day of the festival.

Thanks to all of our interviewees and everyone who popped over to say hello.
