Moon Brightens Day
The weather has been wet and miserable recently but a Liverpool singer has brought a little sunshine to the studio.
Mike Moon played over ten songs live to listeners of Radio Clatterbridge.
Mike gave an interesting insight to his work on hospital radio at Whiston and how he got onto the music scene in Liverpool.
Guesting on the Coffee Club, he sang a range of songs from Billy Joel to Elton John and many of old swing standards.
“This guy has a remarkable voice and amazing keyboard skills. He is a truly remarkable talent and played it all by ear with not a piece of sheet music in sight.” – Presenter John Roberts
The musician was brought to the attention of ex-director Paul Allt by his dad Freddy, a well-known and respected voice on the Merseyside music scene.
A big thanks to Mike from Radio Clatterbridge for brightening up a rainy day.
