Ken Pye

The Life of Pye

Local author Ken Pye joined the Coffee Club this week to share some of his wisdom with listeners.

Ken is a great authority on the history of this area.

He told presenters John Roberts and Paul Allt about the history of Guinea Gap Baths, Mother Red Cap in Egremont Wallasey, Unilever and Port Sunlight including the history of the art gallery and many more.

What started out as a hobby has now become a very successful business, and his website Discover Liverpool is a fascinating introduction to the work he does.

Ken’s other company is called The Knowledge, where they offer business leadership and professional development training to a wide variety of companies.

He is so well respected with his knowledge and passion for Liverpool and Merseyside, that when a new high profile person comes to the city, such as Chief Constable, they go to Ken for a 2-day session to learn more about the places where we live and the people in it.

“We were delighted when Ken said he would guest with us. He was extremely generous with his time, and his knowledge on our area is second to none.” – Presenter Paul Allt

More details about Ken, his future talks, and his CDs, DVDs and books are available on his website.
