Robbie’s Christmas Song For Children
One of the first members of Radio Clatterbridge is releasing a Christmas single to raise money for another local hospital.
Robbie Cross is raising funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity with pal Peter Foreman. Both are members of Wirral band Fallen Heroes.
This week’s Wirral Globe reports how Robbie’s two-day-old niece and Peter’s eight-year-old daughter both had complicated but successful operations at Alder Hey.
Robbie’s love of music began many years earlier. He was one of the early members of Radio Clatterbridge after joining from the Port Sunlight Boys’ Club in the 1960s.
He interviewed Gerry Marsden and Ken Dodd during his time with at the station.
It’s Christmas will be released on iTunes this Friday. A CD copy is also available from Benjamin Henry on 07763 828676.
