Scouts’ Stamp Of Approval

Radio Clatterbridge have got the stamp of approval from local Scouts and Guides after picking up a donation from their Christmas Charity Post.

The station was one of 18 local charities to benefit from the annual fundraiser.

Chairman Steve Lord was presented with a cheque for £1,000 from the Mayor of Wirral at a special presentation evening at Wallasey Town Hall last night.

The Charity Post is a joint venture between 46 Scout groups, 2 Guide units, 3 Ranger units and 5 Guide districts who between them deliver Christmas cards across Wirral each December.

In 2013, over £27,000 was donated to Wirral charities. Clatterbridge Hospitals League of Friends and the North West Air Ambulance were amongst the others to benefit.
