The Four Volunteers

Four of our longest-serving members were commended for their commitment to Radio Clatterbridge this week during a special visit to the station.

Michael Carr, the chairman of Wirral University Teaching Hospital, presented certificates to the voluneers during Thursday’s Live From The Bridge.

Between them, Dave Harvey, Bernard Thornley, Neil Jackson and Neil Henry have given the charity 125 years of service.

Neil Henry, the station’s first Programme Controller, also received a second award from the Hospital Broadcasting Association for his 40 years of volunteering.

Neil Jackson celebrated 35 years with Radio Clatterbridge, while Dave and Bernard have marked 25 years each.

Mr Carr spoke to Dave Harvey on air about the hospital before presenting certificates and vouchers on behalf of the Trust.

We thank him for coming to see our studios and congratulate Neil, Neil, Dave and Bernard on their achievements.
