Ronny Goodlass and Paul Allt

Blue Christmas

Radio Clatterbridge had a Blue Christmas with a visit from an Everton legend.

Ronny Goodlass popped in to the studios to chat about football and his charity.

The winger, who also played for Tranmere Rovers in the mid-1980s, was a special guest on the Coffee Club and had only good things to say about Clatterbridge.

“Ronny talked about the staff at the health park and how wonderful they have been with his wife Denise when she battled her breast and bowel cancer from which she is in remission.” – Paul Allt, Coffee Club presenter

He told presenters Paul Allt and John Roberts of his times as a footballer and now as co-commentator on BBC Radio Merseyside.

Ronny also spoke of his charity which is called Health Though Sport.

He kindly donated a signed DVD dedicated to World Cup winner Alan Ball as a competition prize.

The disc is autographed by Ronny, former Everton manager Howard Kendall, FA Cup winner John Bailey and 1966 FA Cup winner and winning goal-scorer Derek Temple.
