Wirral Singer’s Love And Affection For Joan Armatrading
A Wirral singer-songwriter has told Radio Clatterbridge listeners all about her love and affection for one of her musical heroes.
Liz Owen supported British songstress Joan Armatrading on her last major tour.
Liz told presenter Gray Hawke how she had previously supported Joan in Liverpool in 2012 as part of the duo Just By Chance.
This time around, Liz performed at four venues across the country culminating in a very special gig on her home turf in New Brighton last month.
Three-time Grammy nominee Joan is a big supporter of local talent and has a mutual appreciation for Liz.

Liz, who has also supoprted Ultravox frontman Midge Ure, is a familiar face to music fans across the region.
She regularly performs at venues in Wirral and Liverpool.
The folk musician told the Live From The Bridge programme how she loves playing Vintage guitars and that has extra-long nails to fingerpick!
She also played a number of songs live in the studio.
