Radio-active Dave’s Half-Life At Clatterbridge
Radio Clatterbridge volunteers old and new have joined one of our longest serving presenters to celebrate a quarter century at the station.
Dave Adams marked 25 years on Saturday mornings with a host of friends who have helped him over the decades.
Dave, who marked his 50th birthday in March, has now spent half of his life at the charity.
He joined as a contributor in 1990, then became a co-presenter and eventually a presenter of the Saturday morning programme.
While the show’s name has changed over the years from Mid-Morning Music to The Saturday Crew and now In The Mix, Dave has been the one constant.
Contributors past and present joined Dave in the studio to share their memories during a special edition of the programme before celebrating with a team lunch.
Radio Clatterbridge chairman Steve Lord presented Dave with a certificate to mark his 25 years of volunteering, while Jake McElvogue, Nat Kelly and Beth Meredith provided the cakes!

The only feature which has survived all 25 years is Dave’s Television Themes and Trivia. He played his five favourite themes during the course of the show.
Congratulations to Dave on his milestone and here’s to many more successful years.
