Wig Day goes to Steve’s head
Radio Clatterbridge presenter Steve Evans donned some sparkly headware to help promote a new local fundraiser.
The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is holding its first ever Wear A Wig Day next week.
Sam Archibald and Karen Williams popped across the health park to promote the event, complete with their own wigs.
They explained how they want to get people in factories, shops, offices and schools involved by donating just one pound to wear fun headgear.
The event aims to show support for people who have gone through a traumatic period during their treatment.
“We know how serious hair loss and how upsetting it is for cancer patients. A lot of patients tell us this is brilliant. We’re showing we’re not afraid of cancer and it’s a great way to support the charity.” – Karen Williams, The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity
The event leads into a family Wig Walk which takes place in Crosby next month.
