Actress lends her voice to our station

Kate Robbins is lending her voice to Radio Clatterbridge as part of the celebrations for our 65th birthday.

The actress and singer returns to the Wirral airwaves to help mark the latest milestone at Radio Clatterbridge.

Kate, a former student at Wirral Grammar School for Girls, has appeared in Crossroads, Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, Spitting Image and Dinnerladies.

She later wrote the theme tune to Surprise, Surprise for Cilla Black and had her own number 2 hit in the UK charts with More Than In Love.

“My brother Ted spent many months as a child in Clatterbridge due to his rheumatic fever. I had my appendix removed there when I was 7. So the hospital means a lot to our family.” – Kate Robbins

Now a prolific voice-over artist, Kate joins existing station voice-over Neil Jackson on the new jingles which launched today.
