Helen’s tickled pink after going viral

A Radio Clatterbridge presenter has gone viral for showing her off soft side in the national fight against breast cancer.

Helen Sestan has made a memory quilt from vintage Tickled Pink t-shirts that she has collected over the years.

The campaign, by Helen’s employers Asda, is now in it’s 20th year and she managed to find nearly all of the annual t-shirts which help raise money for two breast cancer charities.

“20 years is massive. £50m that’s been raised is phenomenal and I wanted to celebrate it in a very visual way.” Helen Sestan – Presenter

The Coffee Club co-host, who has a degree in fashion design from Nottingham Trent University, spent 40 hours making the quilt during her spare time.

She got the idea from the film Twilight after the main character Bella gave her mum a memory quilt made from old t-shirts.

Asda helped found Breast Cancer Now’s tissue bank which helps scientists look for a cancer cure.

The story has gone viral since going on the supermarket’s Facebook page where it’s had more than 12,000 likes.

The quilt is being displayed at George House in Leicestershire where Asda’s George team is based but Helen hopes it can be auctioned to raise money for the campaign.
