Don’t panic! It’s just a Dad’s Army tribute

Now listen everyone, we have some very important news.

Radio Clatterbridge has paid tribute to Dad’s Army – to mark the 50th anniversary of the BBC comedy.

Presenter Dave Adams broadcast the Television Themes and Trivia special half a century after the wartime sitcom was aired in July 1968.

Listeners were treated to three episodes that are missing from the TV archives.

“In the 1970s, the original cast recorded versions for Radio 4. We played all three; The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Walker, A Stripe for Frazer and Under Fire.” – Dave Adams, presenter
