Clatterbridge’s health workers praised in Royle message
Some of our most well-known supporters have lent their voices to back NHS staff working in Clatterbridge Health Park during the coronavirus pandemic.
Amongst them is the Merseyside actor Ricky Tomlinson who has dusted off his character Jim Royle to record a special message to be broadcast on Radio Clatterbridge.
The vest-wearing work-shy patriarch sits in his armchair to thank staff for the wonderful job they are doing
“This is a terrible time we’re going through with this invisible blinking enemy. But we can overcome it with the likes of you helping to do it.” – Jim Royle
Tomlinson is the latest personality to add his voice of approval to the tireless efforts of hospital staff in the area.

The station is carrying messages of support from Wallasey-born TV baker Paul Hollywood, former Liverpool footballer John Barnes, Radio City broadcaster Pete Price and Granada Reports presenter Lucy Meacock.
“I’ve been a patient there. I know what outstanding work you do. Never has that been more vital. You are without doubt the most important people in the north west.” – Lucy Meacock
Despite the current lockdown, Radio Clatterbridge is continuing to broadcast around the clock to patients and staff at the health park.
