Christmas crackers this festive season

Radio Clatterbridge has put together a special festive schedule to keep patients and staff in the health park entertained.

Our team of volunteers will be on air around the clock throughout Christmas and New Year.

Christmas Eve morning sees Geoff Peters start the countdown until the big day, while Di Gaskell is on in the afternoon.

At 3pm, we’re joined by legendary US DJ Wolfman Jack who has two hours of festive tunes from the 1960s.

On Christmas Day, Paul Size wakes up the health park including a chance to hear this year’s virtual Light Up A Life service put together by the team at Wirral Hospice St John’s.

Then, Dan Coats will be live from Clatterbridge for Christmas morning and after Midday Memories with Mike Eveleigh it is Ron Berkeley through the afternoon with music, comedy and chat.

After the Queen’s Speech at 3pm, Graham Johnson has two hours of festive favourites from the likes of Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Perry Como.

On Boxing Day, Paul Johnston keeps you entertained from 10am, there are more old hits with Mike Eveleigh in Midday Memories, Mandy Shepherd is on from 1-3pm and then there’s an 80s Christmas special with Gary King.

We’ll also be marking the end of the decade with a whole host of special programmes into 2022.

Geoff Peters has chat on New Year’s Eve from 10am, Steve Evans is on from 1-3pm.

At 3pm, Paul Johnston is on counting down the 15 most requested songs on Radio Clatterbridge during 2021 – will Mr Brightside by The Killers be the most popular tune at the Health Park again?

If you’re not nursing a hangover you can re-live the music that accompanied some of the biggest TV hits of the past on New Year’s Day morning with Dave Adams, while Gray Hawke keeps you entertained through the afternoon.
