It Was About Time

Radio Clatterbridge listeners went Back To The Future with a musical tribute to the film franchise.

Afternoon Edition presenter Andy Bonner hosted the special on the day that the movie's main characters arrived after time-travelling from 1985 to 2015.

In the sequel to the saga, Marty McFly and Doc Emmett L Brown hop in their flying DeLorean car to arrive in Hill Valley, California on 21st October 2015.

The first film spawned a memorable soundtrack, including the Huey Lewis And The News hit The Power Of Love which went to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 thirty years ago.

Listeners also heard hits from Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Etta James and The Four Aces.

The programme finished with an extended verion of another Huey Lewis song, Back In Time, which also closed the first film.
