Sky-high plan to raise funds for Clatterbridge

Request collectors Polly O'Gorman and Heather Smith, student Emily, Amanda Rummery and Dave AdamsListeners are being invited to take a birds-eye look at the Wirral.

A new talk on the history of the peninsular from the air will raise money for patient facilities within Clatterbridge Health Park.

Amanda Rummery, Chair of Clatterbridge Hospitals League of Friends, recently came into the studio to promote the event.

The talk by local historian Gavin Hunter will be accompanied by a buffet supper and hosted by our presenter Dave Adams, who is also Vice President of the League.

It takes place at Wirral Rugby and Cricket Club on Friday 23rd November 2018.

Tickets are available via the website or by phoning 0151 327 4879.

Amanda also promoted the Gordale Charity Spectacular which raises vital funds for the charity each year.

The League will mark its 65th anniversary in February 2019 with a grant (or grants totalling) £65,000 being awarded to good causes within the Clatterbridge site.
