Steve's Big Splash

Steve's Big Splash Radio Clatterbridge listeners took a dip with Mersey swimmer Steve Hill tonight. The 40 year old Cornish coach driver swam one and a half miles in the cold waters to raise vital cash for the hospital's Dermatology unit. Presenter Andy Bonner was there to record the feat. Steve told listeners how this was his biggest river swim to date, and how he became friends with staff from the ward when he took them on a trip to Scotland. The item was broadcast on Andy's programme, Cruisin', this evening.
