Ask most of our presenters which music they like and they’ll be only too keen to tell you.

Jake McElvogue puts a different spin on it.

”I like all sorts of music - except for Lana Del Rey and The Smiths!”

So while you probably won’t be hearing much of the American songstress or the Mancunian rock band on his Jukebox, you may be treated to quite a bit of Michael Jackson. It’s just a shame we don’t have a studio webcam.

“I am a massive fan and know nearly all of his dance routines to his songs.”

Jake is in his second year of the sixth form at Hilbre High. But while most students will be keen to put their school days behind them, Jake wants to become a primary teacher. He’d better get practicing his times tables.

In his spare time, Jake is an Xbox addict and has taught himself to play the guitar. He also loves to watch and play football. No doubt he picked up some tips when he met Everton’s Kevin Mirallas and Arouna Kone and Cole Stockton and Jason Koumas from Tranmere Rovers.

Jake’s pals describe him as funny, caring and enthusiastic – attributes which makes him the perfect presenter for Radio Clatterbridge.
