Tributes to Di Gaskell

Radio Clatterbridge is sad to announce the death of presenter Di Gaskell.

Di had been with us since 2017 and had established herself as a favourite with listeners, presenting the Coffee Club and Clatterbridge’s Greatest Hits.

Her background was as a DJ in bars and clubs across the UK and abroad.

Last year she was shortlisted in the ‘best female presenter’ category at the HBA (Hospital Broadcasting Association) Awards.

Radio Clatterbridge Chair, Steve Evans said: “We’re all absolutely devastated by this awful news, and will miss her terribly.

“Di was hugely popular with listeners. Her sunny nature and cheery disposition shone through every time she was on the air. Just listening to her made you feel good.

“She put a lot of work into her programme and such was her talent that she made it sound effortless.

“Our thoughts and best wishes are with her family and friends at this difficult time.”
